FleetDeck is a client application for viewing and managing your devices on the Balena Cloud platform. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is stored.

Data Collection

FleetDeck does not collect, track, or transmit any personal data to us or to any third-party analytics service. The app does not contain any advertising or tracking frameworks.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device:

• API Tokens — Your Balena Cloud API tokens are stored securely in the device Keychain.
• Account Names — The display names you assign to your accounts are stored in local app storage and synced across your devices via iCloud (using Apple's key-value store). This data is only shared between your own devices signed in to the same Apple ID.

Network Communication

FleetDeck communicates directly with the Balena Cloud API (api.balena-cloud.com) using your API token to retrieve fleet, device, and environment variable data. This communication is encrypted via HTTPS. The app does not send data to any other server.

Device Information

The app displays device information provided by the Balena Cloud API, which may include device names, IP addresses, MAC addresses, location coordinates, and system metrics. This data is fetched on demand and is not stored persistently by the app beyond normal system caching.

Third-Party Services

FleetDeck relies solely on the Balena Cloud API. No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms are used. Your use of the Balena Cloud API is subject to Balena's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by removing your accounts within the app or by deleting the app from your device. This permanently removes all stored API tokens and account information.

Children's Privacy

FleetDeck is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
